Merupu is not Zanjeer’s Telugu title

Putting an end to all the speculation that the Telugu version of Zanjeer has been titled Merupu, Yogi, director of the film's Telugu version, said that all these rumors are baseless and they are yet to title the Telugu version. "All these are rumors and are baseless. We are not even considering such a title and need some more time to title it", said Yogi.
When asked about the teaser of the Telugu version, Yogi said that the teaser of the Hindi version is almost ready and they are planning to launch at a CCL match in Vizag. However, the team is still working on teaser of the Telugu version since it needs to be customized. "The Hindi teaser is almost ready and we are working on the Telugu version of the teaser", adjoins Yogi.
The action entertainer is a remake of the 1973 Hindi film of the same name and is directed by Apoorva Lakhia. Zanjeer stars Ram Charan and Priyanka Chopra for the lead roles while Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, Prakash Raj and Mahi Gill will be seen in important roles.
